Yadkin River Kayak/Run Duathalon
We are sad to say that this event has been postponed until next Fall due to some unforeseen venue issues. Look for us next September for sure.
When: Sunday, September 15th @ 2 PM
Where: Behind Jonesville Town Hall, 1503 NC Highway 67, Jonesville, NC
Why: Proceeds to be split between Mercy & Truth Ministries and YVEDDI, Domestic Violence.
This is a unique event and a 1st of it's kind in this region.
We will supply you with a floatation vest, kayak, paddles and Chipped BIB. You supply your body and passion.
Here's the scoop. Every one will gather at the Start/Finish line and sprint out to the Yadkin River drop site where you will grab a floatation vest grab a kayak and slash into the river. You will paddle up stream for 3.1 mile then turn around and float down stream back to where you started. You will then jump out of your kayak, remove your vest and pace yourself up the Greenway for 1.55 miles and return to Finish line. 10k kayak/5k run. Is that Kool or what.
There is a limit of 100 participants in this event, so sign up today. Registration will CLOSE at the 100 point.
